Oriental Residence Hotel Bangkok Rooms and wings
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite and I was offered a choice between a garden, city or corner suite.
I decided to pay a little extra for the suite with a view and balcony, and it was a really nice experience
It’s more like an apartment and is well suited for a solo businessman or a traveling couple.
The furnishings in the suites have an old-fashioned feel that resembles the steamer trunks used by wealthy travelers back in the day, before airplanes were invented
They come equipped with all the expected features of amenities that you can expect from a 4-star hotel of all categories such as room service, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs.

Next to the beds in both rooms are USB ports for charging electronics.
In addition, each room has a designated space for luggage that has a shoe rack, space for storing suitcases, a closet, and a sizable dressing area that is nicely furnished with a chair and mirror.
A tiny dining table and seating space are also included.
The spacious bathroom is flooded with natural light and has a shower, a bathtub, and two sinks.
My favorite feature of the room is the spacious natural light-flooded bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and two sinks.
The high-quality toiletries and the comprehensive range of amenities that were available also caught my eye, which made the shower experience unforgettable.
The most popular types of rooms and suites in the hotel
The Oriental Residence has four types of rooms.
Or, more precisely, one type of accommodation called Executive Deluxe and three types of one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites
The Grand Deluxe room is the most popular option and best of all, it’s cheap.
Then comes the city view room type, which usually has one bedroom.
However, it’s the two-bedroom suite that catches the eye with its luxurious aesthetics, featuring a French bathtub in the bathroom.

Every morning you will find all guests of the oriental residence hotel at Café Claire, a casual restaurant located on the ground floor.

On our last day at the hotel, we opted to have breakfast delivered to our room due to time constraints, and it was served in plastic containers.
The breakfast was very good
Facilities and services
My experience at the Oriental Residence was hassle-free from arrival to departure, as the staff was wonderful.
I had never tried the turndown service before, but it was a unique experience here, as I found my suite clean with a made bed and slippers at the ready, which made me realize the importance of attention to detail.
On the other side of the building is the hotel’s gym, which is fairly large and equipped with the latest gym equipment and is accessible 24 hours a day.
Swimming pool
The Oriental Residence features a partially covered swimming pool located on the fourth floor.
Next to the pool you will find a bar, and the pool is a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy a swim.
There is a small children’s pool, but most children enjoy the main pool because of its size and facilities.
oriental residence bangkok reviews : Cons
What I didn’t like most about the Oriental Residence is that some of the apartments are old and run-down, with old furniture and shabby fixtures and fittings
There are no spectacular views in some rooms and street noise on the lower floors
In addition, the location in a relatively quiet area can be inconvenient for some, and the hotel’s prices are high compared to the services provided.
